Dr. Johnny L. Magee Jr. is the founder and Senior Pastor of “THE HOUSE” Church, a non-denominational church located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. A former soldier in the United States Army, Dr. Magee received his call into the ministry in the year of 1986 while stationed in Darmstadt, Germany. In January of 1988, he renlisted and was reassigned by the military to Ft. Hood, Texas. During his tour of duty, he and his family joined and served faithfully at the Cathedral of Central Texas/Christians House of Prayer under the dynamic leadership of Bishop Nathaniel and Pastor Valerie Holcomb.
In 1992, with the consent and encouragement from Bishop Holcomb, Dr. Magee stepped out in faith on the evangelistic field full-time for nearly three and a half years. Towards the end of 1994 as his traveling ministry was gaining notoriety, he was approached by Bishop Holcomb with the opportunity to pastor a church in Europe. He and his family departed for Germany in 1995 and led the ministry there faithfully for eight years.
In 2003 being instructed by the Holy Spirit, the Magee’s relocated to the Hampton Roads/Tidewater area in Virginia to establish a new church to further expand the kingdom of God. After holding bible studies in his home for nearly a year, “THE HOUSE” Church was born.
